Dr. Mirwais Khan Tariq, a distinguished figure known for his contributions to education and community development, was born in the vibrant district of Kama of eastern Nangarhar province, Afghanistan. Currently residing in Greater Toronto area, Canada, Dr. Tariq’s journey is marked by academic excellence and a commitment to service.
His educational foundation was laid in his hometown of Kama, where he completed his primary and secondary education at Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan High School. He pursued higher education, earning not one, but two bachelor’s degrees: one in Law and another in Shariah. His academic pursuits led him to prestigious institutions in Malaysia and Canada. He obtained first master’s degree in international Comparative Law (MCL) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia, and second master’s degree LLM from the University of Toronto in Canada.
His dedication to academia and his commitment to shaping the minds of future generations are exemplified by his role as an instructor at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He is having the privilege of guiding and educating thousands of students from different nations, leaving an indelible mark on their academic journeys.
In addition to his academic endeavors, He is also a successful entrepreneur. For over two decades, he has owned and operated private businesses in greater Toronto area, contributing to the economic growth and vitality of the community. His ventures have benefited numerous families and communities, reflecting his dedication to creating opportunities and fostering prosperity.
Despite engaging in pursuing of his PhD doctorate at McGill University, Montreal, he actively serves as member of leadership board of Paiwastoon community Toronto Canada. He became as elected deputy director of Paiwasoon community in 2022. He continues to be a beacon of knowledge, integrity, and service. His multifaceted contributions to education, entrepreneurship, and community development serve as an inspiration to all who have the privilege of knowing him.
