Last month (Oct 2023), a devastating earthquake struck the province of Herat, resulting in a tragic loss of lives, injuries, and widespread destruction of homes for thousands of our fellow Afghans. In response to this crisis, both within and outside the country, there has been an outpouring of support and aid efforts to assist the victims of this natural disaster. We are grateful for the ongoing assistance being provided, and we acknowledge the compassionate response from individuals and organizations.

At this critical juncture, the Afghan Paiwastoon community urges our dedicated and sincere members to step forward and fulfill their responsibilities by extending a helping hand to the affected people to the best of their abilities. Through collective efforts, we can make a meaningful impact and support those in need during this challenging time.

We are pleased to inform you that through the generosity of our kind-hearted community members and the contributions of our suffering compatriots back home, we were able to raise $12,800 Canadian dollars, which converted to 69,000 Afghanis. Today, Maulvi Sahib Abdul Fattah, our associate based in Kabul, distributed these funds to 69 deserving families in the Zinda Jan district of Herat, providing them with much-needed assistance.

The leadership of the Afghan Paiwastoon community extends sincere gratitude to all our friends and supporters who have consistently shown unwavering sincerity in their support. We ask for blessings from the Almighty for all those who have contributed and pray for their well-being in this life and the hereafter.
